Landscape Ecology on Madeline Island (Master Naturalist Advanced Training)

Tuesday – Thursday, June 16-18
10:30AM Tuesday – 3:00PM Thursday
on Madeline Island

Graduates of the Wisconsin Master Naturalist program and others are invited to spend a few days exploring beautiful natural areas on Madeline Island with Master Naturalist Instructor Emily Stone, geologist Tom Fitz, and other experts. You don’t have to be a certified Master Naturalist to participate!  Any adult learners are welcome.

From the bedrock up, we’ll investigate the intricate web of connections that bring a landscape to life.

The training begins at 10:30am on Tuesday and will engage students in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities on the island. We’ll end by 3:00pm on Thursday.

You provide your own lodging and food. Send an email to Emily at emily@cablemuseum.org for information about campsites at Big Bay Town Park that have been reserved for participants of this program. As for lunches during the program, for one lunch we’ll all go out to the Beach Club, for another we’ll do a cookout! Other meals are on you.

Check the MIWP website https://www.miwp.org/upcoming-events for updates on the guest experts!
