Read MoreOur first Forest Classroom activity of the season was well-attended! We hiked with Samantha Dobson on (and off) the Capser Trail in search of Oyster mushrooms. Because mushrooms are 85-90% water, rain is great for mushroom hunting, although right after the rain when the sun comes back out is the best time. You always learn something new when you hunt mushrooms with Samantha! The next mushroom walk is September 10th. Mark your calendars now!

Read MoreIt was unseasonably warm on this early November day. The leaves had fallen. A recent light snow had melted leaving the trails soggy. Wish I had worn my Muck boots—slow going because it was slippery with tennis shoes! However, it is clear that the trails are in great shape for Cross Country Skiing and Snow Shoeing this winter!
Read MoreThe North End trails are in the best shape in years! Lots of work done to clear for hiking and XC skiing. We also cleared the Nucy Meech — sweet trail.
